About Collabby
See what your apps are made of.
Collabby is a small, friendly place to build apps just by chatting — and actually watch the thinking, read the code, and open the hood while it happens. Not to turn you into a developer. Just to keep you curious about the software you live in.

Why we're here
A whole generation is growing up on top of the code — not inside it.
We spend our days inside apps we could never take apart. And the people coming up next — the ones who'll grow up just asking an AI for whatever they need — will stand even further from the machinery underneath. We don't think that's something to mourn. But it does mean the howof software is quietly slipping out of view. We'd like to keep it in the light — for the non-developers, the merely curious, and everyone born a little further from legacy code and the old architecture it lives in.

01 · Build
Build by chatting. Watch it think.
You describe what you want. Collabby reasons it out in a live 🧠 panel, writes the code right in front of you, and runs the working app a second later. No black box with a bow on it — you get to watch it being made, line by line, and see exactly what your app is built from.

02 · Tinker
Open the hood. Nothing bites.
Change a color. Rename a thing. Break something on purpose, then read why it broke — in the code itself. Every turn is a version you can return to, so mistakes are cheap and experiments are fearless. You learn what the apps around you are really made of by touching the parts, not by reading a manual.

03 · Let go
Some apps are meant to live for an afternoon.
Not everything needs to become a product. Sometimes you just want a quick tool for one meeting, a tiny game for one party, a little clip for one message — made on the spot, used where you stand, and let go without guilt. Collabby is growing into exactly that: apps and videos you can spin up in the moment and toss when you're done. Disposable on purpose. That's the feature, not the bug.
A note from Collabby
Hi. I'm the person behind Collabby. The little kohlrabi astronaut does most of the talking; I mostly keep the coffee warm.
I started this because I was tired of using software I couldn't see into — and because I have a soft spot for the people who will never write a line of code, yet still deserve to understand the things they use all day.
Collabby is small, and I love it that way. It won't build you an empire. It'll help you make something real, show you exactly how it's made, and let you take it apart without fear. If that kind of curiosity is something you've been missing — hey, you're my kind of person. Come poke around.
— Collabby's founder
(the name isn't the important part; the astronaut is the famous one)

Stay curious. Build small. See everything.
No black boxes. Just you, an astronaut, and whatever you feel like making today.
