About this app

Speed, Distance and Time is an interactive middle-school science app for practicing the relationship speed = distance ÷ time. Choose distances and times to create target speeds, read speed from the slope of distance–time graphs, and solve relative-speed questions involving cars moving in the same or opposite directions.

Use cases

  • Middle-school students learning speed, distance and time
  • Teachers introducing distance–time graphs
  • Learners practicing speed calculations through guided challenges
  • Students reviewing relative speed and direction-based addition or subtraction

Features

  • Select distance and time values to calculate speed in m/s
  • Complete challenges for exact, fastest, and slowest speeds
  • Compare lines on distance–time graphs by their slopes
  • Identify stationary, fastest, slowest, and 10 m/s motion graphs
  • Calculate relative speed for cars moving in the same or opposite directions
  • Use reset, next-question, and sound controls
