Heavy Yet Floating

🛟 Two objects weigh the same, but one sinks and the other floats. Why? Change their volume and read the buoyancy numbers to find out—the floating one isn’t simply “lighter.” 📏 Put the same object in fresh water and very salty water. In salt water, only half of it sinks. That’s why people float in photos from the Dead Sea. 🚢 Here’s the big question: a heavy lump of iron sinks, so how can a much heavier iron ship float? Keep the amount of iron the same and change only its shape. Then see what happens as you keep loading it. This app was made with code too · Shall we remix it and add a submarine?
