We don’t suck air in. 💨 Oxygen enters the blood in the lungs, but leaves the blood at the body’s cells. Why do the directions differ if it’s the same oxygen? Stand the two places side by side and compare the numbers—the answer appears. 🫘 Last stop: the kidneys. The body filters «everything» first, then takes back only what it needs. About this app
Take in, send out is an interactive middle school science app about breathing, gas exchange, and urine formation. Students manipulate rib and diaphragm positions to observe how chest volume, pressure, and airflow change, compare oxygen and carbon dioxide amounts at the alveoli and body cells, and trace how substances are filtered and reabsorbed by the kidneys. Mission-based activities provide numerical feedback and explanations as learners explore each process.
