Balanced Forces and Friction
When two forces push back equally, the net force is zero and the object stays put. Balance F1 against F2 to zero the net force, change the slope angle and the friction coefficient to separate what slides from what holds, then raise the pushing force step by step to catch the exact moment maximum static friction gives way to a constant kinetic friction.
